Thanks! I built it out of an Ibeam I got off of craigslist, and some steel tubing. I got the hinge parts from Comp4x4.com. It was a fun project and could have been built prettier but it functions great!
I wish I knew that existed a week ago! I ended up using some canned spray foam, and it seams to have worked pretty well, I just need to seal around the tailgate and it will be dust free!!
Gaps are underneath the bed rails, the side of the bed stops and there is like a 2" gap in some places that goes right into the wheel well. And I'm doing weather stripping around the tailgate. I never thought of campers tape, that would probably work, or maybe even like peel and stick flashing...
Finally Installed the bed rug, there are still a couple of gaps, where dust can get in, does anyone have any ideas on how to fill them? The canned spray foam won't stick.
If you don't need to move it to gain the clearance and are just worried about the looks, I have seen a couple guys paint theirs black, which blends in pretty well.
I'm looking at heading to northern Arizona (in the page area) this upcoming weekend and was looking for some good camping spot suggestions. I don't want to be in an established campground, I would rather be somewhere somewhat secluded. Any suggestions you have are greatly appreciated!
I have a 2013 silverado, and ended up building a tire swing for my rear bumper. with a little skill it wasn't actually too hard to make, and I've been very happy with it. It was also a lot cheaper than buying something. If you don't want to do a swing, and are not scared if drilling into the...
Hey there, I'm also up in flag and am fairly new to the area. There are a bunch of good trails in Sedona, and I have found a couple in the Prescott area that I like. There are some south of town off of woody mountain road if you go south and west far enough. But feel free to hit me up if you...
I'm in the same boat you are. I have a 2013 1500 and a 3" ish lift, I have 33's on it right now with no rubbing at full lock. Im very confident I could fit 35's no problem. The tires I have looked at are $6 difference between 33 and 35. I have talked to tons of different shops and the...
I always liked the 4th/5th intercostal space personally. And as far as effectiveness it treats a potentially life threatening condition so it's better than nothing!
I know a lot of people that over look simple items like a tourniquet, quick clot, NPA or decompression needle because they are not trained to use them. Keep in mind that you may not know how to use one of those items but someone who may come across you may be trained.
I have never even heard of the IBS Dual Battery system. Everyone I know that has done a dual battery has either built their own or used a national luna kit, this being said I'll give you my thoughts. First is how you have the aux battery grounded. I'm not sure how the kit tells you to do it...
Got the outlet, and switches all installed. It took a little while because I re-ran all the wiring that the dealer put in when the shell was installed.

Adding some power to the bed. One switch is for the outlets. The other switch is for the light in the shell, the switch it came with kind of sucks so that is being replaced. I'll post pictures when it's installed.

Thanks! It's deffinately a project. If you happen to know anywhere that makes skid plates for the our model (the 07-13's) let me know because I'm looking for some!

I really like it! It will make adding accessories way easier, and it only took about an hour to install. Also there aren't too many places that have enough space to mount the switch panel, but that spot works perfect.

Got the SPod installed, just waiting to get the dual battery all hooked up. I'm super happy with how it turned out, and it was really easy to install.

Finally finished the tire carrier! The actual tire mount, jerry can holder, and camp table are from CBI offroad. The frame is DIY. I'm pretty happy with the outcome.
