What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

I wanted a little more off-road clearance when climbing rocks so cut the lower valance a bit. After Before Removed a decent amount of material.

    2018 GMC Canyon MTB/Overland/Adventure Rig

I can't afford a new front bumper and there are currently no options out there that I like so...... Chop chop chop. :) I freehand cut the lower valance to give me a bit more clearance off-road. I originally planned to reuse the "waffle" by relocating it higher up but I'm not quite ready for...

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Looks great! I've been meaning to cut mine in a similar fashion.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Nah, your truck is a beast. It would have handled that crossing with zero issues.

Best Rig to Start a Build

Works for me. It's nice having a capable, small and decently powerful rig when your friends need rescuing. :)

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

It's a trap @RoarinRow ! Mike just doesn't want to be the only guy in the back having to deal with all the giant ice slabs I push to one end of the crossings when I lead. :smilingimp:

    Moab, for the Unexperienced.....

For sure. That's why we decided to explore Hurrah and Gemini Bridges/Metal Masher then La Sal Pass, Thompson Valley to Onion Creek the next day. Hurrah Pass. Can't wheel and explore without my girl.

    Hilux 2020 soft overland build

Very nice! I was in New Zealand and saw a lot of Hilux while driving about. I saw more Rangers than any other model. It was weird to see so many different models of midsize truck at every intersection. During the entire week in Rotorua I only saw 1 full size truck.

What Did You Do With Your Rig Today?

Spent half the day on the trail which eventually turned into a bit of snow wheeling. Glad @Magic Mike called me this morning. :) I had no idea Lake Faucherie froze over in winter!

This is a great resource to get you started. https://funtreks.com/off-road-trails/ I bought the hardcopy and download gpx files for GAIA.

    Help me pick a truck.

I'm trying to imagine flying through the desert at high speeds in an old 3/4 ton truck....... :confounded:

    Moab, for the Unexperienced.....

Hurrah Pass and Chicken Corners. Easy trails with some interesting side trail features to play on as you learn your rig. The views are outstanding! The first 3 hotels as you cross the bridge by Arches are all nice.

Dual size (2 person) mat for back of 4th gen 4runner

We went to REI to test out the Exped Megamat and expected to buy it that day but it felt less plush than most reviews would lead you to believe so we also tested the REI Camp Dreamer and went home with it. The Exped felt much more like an air bed than the REI unit which felt more like memory...

    X-Bull Recovery Tracks...another inexpensive alternative

The tests were fairly ridiculous but it does show which ones were the most durable.
