I had access to the Overlander on a recent trip to Windrock for testing. It is a nice unit but my iPad and Gaia work easier without the expense of the Garmin unit.
They started as 10x36" fenders from trailer. I cut the corners and flatten them out. My tires are 37x12.5. I welded in the corners with new sheet metal.

Its to bad because the power I'm getting out of a partial motor is great. Once I replace the bad lifters and get it squared away it will be just what i need. Just poor quality control.
Just wanted to pass along and update on the crap I'm dealing with on the 505 Performance crate motor I purchased. First and foremost I am not getting a new motor and hiring a lawyer and have reported 505 Performance to the BBB in Phoenix. The interior rattling is 3 failed hydraulic lifters...
Well without going into detail yet I did make it to the dyno with a not 100% motor. There is a new motor on the way but from what i've seen with partial pulls it is looking good. Torque moved way down the rpm range and made great increases. Increased 60 lbs at 3,000 and 50 HP at 3,000 rpms...
225-250 HP 275+ Tq. His motor if assembled correctly dyno 285-290 at crank. Tuners says im loosing about 50 hp with draintrain and tires. Will see Mon at 4pm if i can keep it running till then.
Oh there is a whole back story to this build and 505 is working with me for compensation but didn't think that needed to be part of the thread other then DON'T use 505 Performance. As for the motor I believe it will be just what I was looking for.
So here we are today with it running, improper tune in it since he was trying to compensate for timing with the timing installed incorrectly waiting for our next trip to the dyno. Seat of the pants I can feel some more power then stock but how can i judge it that way. Im looking for 100 HP gain...
Well the company "Over the Top Offroad" that did the engine swap was full up with projects and couldn't fit me in. They are a Great Company. Its been 10 days at this point (Engine swap took 12 hours) so back to my house and the main code I looked at was P0016. Cam shaft and crankshaft not in...
Well as soon as he starts playing around all kinds of Hell breaks loose, knocking noises, transmission locks in 3rd gear, revs limit out at 3,500 rpm. The Jeep shuts down in Limp Mode! The tuner says you got other problems, gives me some suggestions on what it could be based on the engine...
