Finally. We have our patriot back. I may have to get a four wheel alignment but not 100 percent positive. It rides, handles, and feels way better than with the rc stuff.
I'm going to measure the amount of lift if any. I may try the daystar lift after they settle
For the noise, since it is a jeep, you can pull the entire rug from the inside, and cover it with dynamat, then use the headliners to cut down there. It will make a good difference. I want one bad, but for the price here it's just too much money. I bought two wrangler unlimited previously. my...
You should be able to section the rack to fit on the taco. Cut the center out up the middle to narrow it, and then cut the center out of the length to make it fit, bring it to a good power coater and you are golden. Just add some extra bracing where you weld so it keep the strength of the original.
The pat is going in, in 2 hours....I will report back after I get it back and see how we are doing with it. I am going to give it a good going over when I go drive it.
My friend has a 2009 jeep patriot for a cabin rig. He parked it after using it fine all weekend, went to start it the next weekend and it sputtered and just shut off and would not start. Been through the entire electrical system etc. The funny thing is that it seems to have compression when...
I just went back and read this link through. He said his patriot without the daystar lift sits at 33 with the KYB. My pat is sitting at 33 7/8 with the RC struts. So if I lose another 1/2 inch after they settle, it will still be over an inch higher than the stock struts/springs which I will be...
Shocks do not provide extra weight carrying capacity. Thats why the 2.5 don't make a difference. Springs take the weight, shocks control the weight. Your fox are fine. You need heavier rated springs for the JT. To the OP, have a look at teraflex with their falcon series of shocks. The...
return the ipad mini and buy a Samsung galaxy tab a7 lite. I have one and it works deadly with Gaia. No connection issues, the GPS inside tthe tablet is accurate etc. I would keep the inreach for communication when off grid.
Brown santa arrived today with the pieces to complete operation get rid of crap suspension. Cannot wait to get it all done now! New KYB loaded struts, and Moog lower control arms. Removing the RC garbage ASAP!
That rig looks really cool! Yeah we just went through 2 weeks of warm weather and mist, rain and fog. We have little snow around town now. And we are just waiting for the back country to harden up so we can get out. There was a group of workers in a gold mine about 40km in the backcountry...
We have held off on the daystar lift, for now. Rumor has it the KYB give about 1 inch over stock without any spacers etc. I have yet to confirm this rumor. They are arriving on Monday and will be installed ASAP!
On an unrelated to the suspension note, we now have our rack finalized with a thule...
We have been watching on youtube for awhile now. I love watching "non-off road" rigs hammering trails like they are born to do it. Our patriot is in the same camp, it will go where you point it no problem as long as you have clearance. Now, with the ROUGH COUNTRY CRAP suspension on it, it's...
