It’s also worthwhile to point out that there is no evidence MaxTracks, or TREDs actually, are a superior product (other than stacking height with MaxTracks & probably handle comfort). People who don’t like the knock offs generally haven’t even tried them. The few people I’ve run across who have...
Definitely keep the “quiet” zone. As you are well aware, there are generations of Overlanders, each with different priorities. NWOR has done a good job of focusing on including families, kids & women. I think this greatly adds to the diversity, universal appeal & satisfaction of the event...
Welcome! Great looking truck. I’m sure there’s plenty she can do right now. In addition to the N Puget Sound folks Jefi mentioned above, there have been a couple OB meet ups down here in Seattle & Issaquah. I would also suggest you look into NWOL. They’re also a good group of folks (mainly based...
My availability always varies but I will be interested in whatever comes of this. Every otherish is probably best to keep up interest. Maybe mire in summer/spring, less in winter

You might want to touch base with Jim Lee. They’ve got a little group going out of Mt. Vernon. My take on their posts is that, in the Overland Bound spirit, they would be happy to both advise & include you.
Last August we dispersed camped next to some guys who had that $100 Costco fire pit they used for s’mores, etc. Totally okay with the burn ban. Thinking about it myself.
REALLY nice contributions. I know most of this stuff but it’s always great to rehear it, especially from someone who used that info much more than I do. Very nicely written.
If you want to take the time, I would be interested in your input on 2 things:
1) Specifically, what brand, weight...
You know it’s something when Jeeps are rare - try being a Nissan. There was only one R50 (a QX4) besides my Pathfinder at NWOR last year. Honestly, I love the variety of vehicles. I’m not knocking Toyota, I recently bought a 2018 4Runner, & I’m quite impressed, so I’m contributing to the...
At ExpoWest I was camped next to Waypoint Overland. He had 2 pair. He said he used them extensively. He originally had MaxTracks but broke them over time. He said he’d broken these too. Other than the MaxTracks stacking more compactly & their price, he couldn’t tell any real functional...
That’s fantastic! You guys are tough, doing it with a 2yo. Lifestyle Overland is doing something similar. I love seeing families go for it. I hope to meet you at NWOR.
X-Bull direct sells on eBay. I believe they unload overstock there as I have bought 2 pairs for <$65 though they were only in black. No tax, free shipping. I have not seen it there in a while though.
I recently bought Boar Off-road for $79.90. They were available in many colors (I got blue)...
Personally, I would try & avoid snow. You’ll be occasionally driving on some fairly tight roads with up to a thousand foot drop off one side. Definitely not a place you want to slide.
