This! I run the hose in the sleeping bag and sometimes I put the cpap in there with me if it’s really cold. But I have an air mini travel cpap with a small battery. So it takes up very little room.

Took mine off 3 years ago and it’s been in garage ever since. Not once have I wished I had it with me. With proper tool there are way better options. Casting is the only valid reason I could think of at this point.

Responded on IG, let me know if you need more info. There are some good Ham/comms threads here as well. Some folks that are way more knowledgeable than me. If you come to the meetup some real experts show up. The guys from Land-Ops are usually at every meetup. They are a great resource.
