Sorry for the thread jacking the canopy discussion. I would drill the canopy instead of the truck. Run the cables under the truck and then up between where the truck cab and bed meet. Then put the hole(s) in the canopy by the front glass of the canopy. Use some marine grade quick disconnects...

I have these on my 5th gen RAM 1500. Kind of pain to install. You would think it's simple bolt-on, but was more of a pain than my hidden winch mount. They already saved my truck from damage a few times.
