I ordered the 60s. I measured the width of my camper shell and with 70s the bars would be sticking out roughly 11 inches on each side. That just seemed like too big of a gap considering I am mounting an awning to the side of the crossbars.
If I need to exchange the bars I can do that though...
Im trying to install a roof rack on my ARE camper shell.
It came with Yakima landing pads so Im getting Yakima towers and bars. They come in 50, 60 and 70.
My trucks width is 79"
I cant find anything definitive on whether to go 60 or 70. Any advice? Yakima support wasnt clear on which length...
Thanks everyone for your help. I finally have bought my next vehicle, a 2011 Toyota Tundra 5.7L Double Cab 4x4.
I will make a main post about it in the appropriate forum.
The Titan as far as I can tell does not have a CVT. Ive only seen these on smaller vehicles like sedans, wagons and midsized SUVs. But yes CVT sucks for anything off the pavement is what Ive read. I did consider a subaru at one point and came to the understanding that only get a subaru with...
After some further deliberation and research I really liked what I found in the Titan. I put a deposit down on a 2012 Pro-4X. Pending a good inspection, I will buy the truck. Not gonna celebrate until I'm driving away though, but once I do, I will post pics!
Southern Illinois is Redneckistan? Funny term.
I used to own a pathfinder in the 90s and stock that thing was an absolute off road beast!
My buddy had an xterra that was really solid.
I dunno Im reading really good things about the 2nd Gen Titans. The Pro-4X has nearly 11" of clearance and a...
All this Tundra vs Ram vs F-150 talk, and somehow I glossed over the Nissan Titan.
It seems to be on par with the Tundra but I can get one for quite a bit less than a Tundra and if I get a Pro-4X it comes with a rear locking differential.
I'm strongly considering the Titan now.
Yeah if I could figure out how to make money off this I would be down. Im in a transitional period. I needed this time off. I was in a dead end job going nowhere. For some of those years I wasnt even alive. Fwiw I have spent some of my time off last year helping others, family, volunteering. I...
I have extremely good credit. Ive put a lot of years in working on my credit. The bank isn't interested in that Im traveling around. They are simply interested in what is my credit score, what loans I currently have are now....etc...
I have no other loans and I pay all my bills in full on time...
not my quote but its hilarious. To some degree we are all just frogs in the frying pan :-)
Oh my buddy is giving me shit about my research today. I have spent hours making spreadsheets comparing lots of key specs on all different vehicles, makes, models and years. Heck I have even done this for...
nvm, I found it. You gotta understand I'm a noob to this forum. But I will always put my homework in and try to figure it out on my own.

thanks. I still can't seem to find this "section". I must be looking in the wrong place. I am searching the forums and inside the photography forum.....
I have a ton of what I will call sunroof pics from my travels in my Pilot last year. Sometimes I would be lazy....or genius, depending on your...
weed delivery driver......its not a terrible gig but nothing I would want to do more than temporarily! The pay can be tough unless you're getting tipped well.
I did look into that, but to get a 3/4 ton or 1 ton truck plus a truck camper.....its a bit out of my range on what I can afford. Plus that seems even more long term, and not sure I want to live on the road for many more years.
