It was really nice. With the traffic on the the road up I was expecting a party up there but everyone left around 5:00 and we had the place to ourselves.

I don’t fish but my friend caught a few. At dusk the fish were really active. Literally jumping a foot or so out of the water. Lots of them too.

Yea, it looks a little deeper in the pictures, but still A bit deeper than I like. It was above the sills by a good bit and they did hold tight. (amazingly) That red river dumps into the Rio Grande not too far from the town of Red River.

We made a trip up to Red River and ran a few trails and did a little camping last weekend. That water crossing was a little deeper than expected :grimacing:. We camped up at Goose Lake, which was beautiful. A worthwhile excursion if you ever get the chance.

Sorry for the late response! I have a fairly cheap uniden radio with a fire ring cable going to a fire stick 2 foot antenna. I bought an inexpensive inline meter from amazon and am using that to test SWR. I think there is a grounding issue somewhere, but I haven’t had too much time to mess with...

Not sure. What era of army base? WW2? Civil War? Fort Union National Monument immediately springs to mind. Not really an overland destination though.

I second the Fins n’ Things trail for a good introduction to Moab 4wheeling. Fun trail, some good steep slick rock climbs, but less intimidating than some other trails.

Got caught in a monsoon near Ghost Ranch in northern New Mexico. Road went from passable in a civic to nearly impassable in about 5 min.

Chets is definitely the best in town. That's who I use most. I did have Toyo Masters do an alignment after I put the OME stuff on my 4Runner and I think they did a great job.
