Like the Speedmasters thread I posted awhile back, I don't have any direct experience with this brand. There seems to be more info on them online than the Speedmasters. I've seen a couple videos and some reviews.
They have a few models, a 5 ton and a 10 ton, version. The 5 ton version looks...
I tried ordering a 2nd set about a month ago and they were out of stock. I sent and email and the reply back was they were waiting on new stock and ETA was 3-4 weeks. This was about 3 weeks ago.
Thanks for the link. I like that they have blue and red as well. Look like they have 3 different types of traction tracks. 1 looks similar to Maxsa/Maxtrax and one looks similar to Treds. The 3rd looks like a folding type.
Man! You can spend that much and not even be at the show! I wonder how much you'd spend if you actually went. Hahahah!
I was there on Saturday afternoon. Definitely smaller than last years. I was hoping that Tepui would show up. Mostly Jeep and p/u truck stuff. There was one SUV, a GX470...

Anyone else going? It is heavily Jeep biased, but I have no problems with that. Still a lot of good stuff to see and lots of vendors.
Best of all it's FREE! (well you gotta pay to park)
Lots of info out there. Just do a google search. Something like "importing a vehicle to the usa"

OP here. Glad to see positive trail reports coming in on these. Now lets see how they hold up against constant exposure to the elements as well as multiple recoveries. Maybe it's time for me to order a 2nd set as well.
Huge fan of these cargo boxes. No issues with my Thule and it's been with us many miles off road. I've debated reindorcing the mounting points but turns out i dont have to. Don't notice the wind noise and don't notice much of a drop in milieage. They are lockable, fairly waterproof and dust...
My buddy has an AWD version and I'm actually amazed at its capabilities bone stock. With a small lift and more aggressive tires, it would be even better. With the rear seats removed the space behind the driver is HUGE. One day we put 5 x 55 gallon plastic barrels in the back and was able to...
Have you thought about roof top cargo boxes like Yakima and Thule? They can hold enormous amounts of gear. I usually put light and bulky items like sleeping bags, tents, and camp chairs up there. They are weatherproof, lockable, and fairly light.
I know you have a Gobi rack so you may have...
Indeed. I will come join you guys first chance I get. It's not the long wheelbase it's finding the time...hahaha...
Do you post up any sort of invite for these runs? I can't join you guys if I don't know about them! LOL!
Never heard of these Colby Valves. Very cool product. Just wondering why you would use the emergency version when the permanent replacement is about half the price? Is it because you need an intact valve stem in order to use the permanent version?
EDIT: I just saw that the emergency...
