I bought an Amazon special light bar for the front of my dodge. One button is white the other is amber. Actually it is way more orange than amber. I use it way more than the white. When I decide how I am going to mount the winch on my truck I will upgrade to a better amber light bar.
The 71 is kind of a long term restoration project still in the planning stages. I’ve got an idea in my head of how I want it. But very far from execution of any of it. For the 79 - There is an early 12 valve and nv4500 sitting in my shop waiting for the 400m to give up completely. I’ve got the...
Sadly that isn’t all of it either. I’ve got an 04 Tahoe. The daily driver.
71 bronco - needs a new tub bad. Lots of cancer.
79 bronco - runs decent for having a boat anchor of an engine, original 400m, but it’s starting to lose oil pressure. I’ve got a new engine and trans ready for it. Just...
I am a diesel guy so most of my recommendations tend to steer that direction. But the first thing I thought when I read you requirements was a power wagon with a topper on it. I’m 6’ and sleep good in the 6.5 foot short bed. I sleep on a 4” thick queen size foam mattress pad. I roll it up length...
When my wife and I camp we are generally hunting, scouting out a hunt or fishing. Most of our camp is packed in action packers. I think what makes everything work great for us is being flexible. We can base camp for a while, or spend a night or 2 and relocate until we reach the destination we...
I camp with pretty much the same kind of set up in the back of my dodge. Action packer kitchen and fold out tables too. Takes me and the wife about ten minutes to set up camp. There have been a couple of times when the dodge was down that we’ve had to use our Tahoe. Sure wish the dodge rode as...
Got my box finished today for my 3rd battery and on board air. Third battery will power the camper shell. Running it through a voltage sensing relay and putting solar to it from the top of my camper shell. Here is rough set up.
Here is the finished and painted box.
Caravan camper. Made in Reno Nevada. Very spendy but in my opinion worth every penny. Their website is kinda crappy. But if I ever get another truck I will buy another caravan.
Gonna have it all buttoned up in time for the vaccine zombies. Needs a porthole in the top with a turret and a browning 50. All joking aside that is an awesome build.
I’m a fan of rock crawling. What those rigs are capable of is simply unreal. But with the time and money I have into mine, if I flopped it in the boulders or came out with rock rash down the entire side, I would probably have a complete mental come apart. Ok not probably. I would lose my s**t...
I really dig the look of that truck. I wanted the titan when it came out with the Cummins. But yours is the frontier I’ve ever looked at and was really impressed with.
Rebuilding after the last tear down. But that t-case with 4.88s and Yukon lockers behind a 350 and 4l60e on 35’s it’s gonna do way more than I ever wanted it to. Mines a revolving rebuild. At this point it’s almost a waste because I will never use it to its capabilities.
It’s too bad that stak wasn’t still being made. They built my 3 speed t case and had no problems adapting to my set up. I just hope I never have to have parts now. But the low low of 5.22:1 is ridiculous.
I have the worst luck when it comes to drawing tags. I still love to go look though. Forgive the pictures. Taken through the spotting scope.
Every once in a while I will go chase coyotes though.
I read once up on a time ago that thieves like looking for stickers that show what could be inside the vehicle. Firearms sticker are usually on trucks with guns and expensive optics. Basically shopping advertisements. I have zero stickers on my truck. I don’t know if that helps or not. I lock...
I agree with getting larger tires. Even though you’re only really gonna gain an inch at the diff. Rock sliders are something I won’t tell anyone to get until they know what they are going to use their truck for. I’m willing to bet over half the trucks you look at with sliders on them have never...
