Super familiar with static vs. dynamic straps, but many within the industry still call a dynamic strap a "tow strap" as it seems is the case with TJM. Summit calls it a Tow, TJM calls it a snatch, same kit part # http://www.tjmusa.com/en/product/tjm-recovery-kit-large

Not particularly though I often pack my detector and gold pan and spend time with some different detector groups (Utah Treasure Association) who spend a great deal of time poking around ghost towns.

I've been rocking the X-Jack for approx 10 years. It's been utilized dozens of time particularly in mud and snow where a Hi-Lift lacks even with a base. My #1 go to is still the original Toyota bottle jack if possible.
