We used paper plates and set up a shooting range for the kids. They had a blast, and said it was the best part of the trip! I guess they weren't too impressed with the Grand Canyon. Haha
Both of our kids are hard to pin down because they have the attention span of goldfish! Lol
So on our first overland adventure here's what we decided to bring:
RC Trucks, this forced us to bring the generator to charge batteries
Pellet rifles
Baseball gloves
Sling shots
Swim trunks
And for my...
Sorry guys, I'm still confused about ranking up. I thought I read somewhere that you can post a pic on social media of your badge on your rig. Second part, can I post on Facebook? Or is it just instagram? Thanks for the help!
Here are our kids enjoying burgers over the open fire, after playing with their pellet guns in the Kaibab Forest in Arizona. Great times, beautiful country. We brought our 2 kids and a couple of their buddies. This was our first major overland trip, it was such a good time that we are planning...
Mama’s Trailhawk kicked some ass out in the Kaibab National Forest! Kept up with the RVeep just fine, but she was a little pissed about all the scratches from the trees on her new 2018 Jeep! Hahahahaha
Oh well...adventure happens!
Thanks Caddis, I’m definitely going to look into that. We were in the back country last week and there’s no way our trailer would have made it down those roads. We definitely need to lift it and I wasn’t too sure about the durability of those tiny trailer tires going over rocks. Looks like I may...
That’s right Ripley! It almost seems like, if you know how to use and remember to bring it along, there’s a good chance it’s gonna be needed. Usually by someone other than you! Haha
Cool name by the way! You an “Aliens” fan? Im a big time fan over here.
What’s up VC! I was hoping to be able to get Jeep wheels on it. That was my only reason. At this point I’m not doing anything that justifies a beefier axle other than that. And that’s mostly for looks and a little ground clearance. But if I could get Jeep wheels on it without swapping axles...
Thanks Paul! I’m enjoying Overlanding as a hobby. I tried having bonsai trees at one point, forgot to water them and they died. The cool thing about a trailer is that we don’t have to feed or water it and it’s there waiting for you when you return to it....
Sounds like a perfect pet too! Hahahahaha
Well, I ran out of time for my trailer build. So instead of my deadlines getting in the way of my adventure. We will Be tent camping. I decided to take the ramp off my little landscape trailer, paint the wheels and diamond plate black. Take off the the cheesy safety stickers and presto! The...
Thank you!!! Yeah, we are not from the area and are looking for a good adventure. Nikki and I will have 4 kids with us 3 teens and a 10 year old, so if it sucks, I’m worried they would stone me to death for wasting precious adventure time! Lol
Anyone gnna be in the Area of the Grand Canyon from April 1st 2018 - April 7th? we will be there with our kids, looking to take the drive to the bottom and hang out for the day. It would be cool to meet with other members for the drive there. Lok forward to hearing from you guys!
In just having my rig built for adventuring, I've come across some crazy things ranging from vehicle rollovers, vehicle fire with a lady sitting in the driver seat, mudslide with tree on power lines, several trees across the road, traffic jam for over 12 hours on the mountain where I was able to...
Hello guys, I'm also in the emergency services and have been a field medic for a while. With the blesing of admin and the other health care professionals, I am also here to help with answering any questions or setting up kits. Safe travels!
We are running a 2012 Jeep JKU Rubi and the Mrs. has a 2018 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk. Those are our rigs, but we still dig seeing other rigs set up for adventure. Cool pics!
Both of our kids are high level ADD and geocaching is perfect for constant adventure opportunities anywhere you stop. We use the geocaching app from the App Store. We are no experts, but it’s one more twist on adventuring and it keeps the kids engaged and sharp. Happy hunting!
