Headed to Gold Lake, CA for some camping. Will make camp on 1/18 and break camp on 1/20. There's a nearby Snake Lake trail run for high lift 4WD vehicles. If you want to join us, here's the info:

As a former Marine and current Deputy Sheriff, I like the concept. I don't think my name would be ideal though, since I'm a current LEO. Maybe a seven point star for the icon and Deputy for the title. Hate to say it, but cops aren't popular in CA these days, so I don't need my rig keyed or worse.
Selling a set of five BF Goodrich 305/70/17 Mud-Terrain T/A KM2 tires. They have low miles on them with lots of tread left. Probably close to 80% tread depth. Good all around tires for everything but without the crazy road noise most mud tires make.
Asking $1000 cash for the set of five. Will...
Just swapped my Goodyear MT/Rs out for BFG KO2s. Both are 315/70/17 on a modded JKUR. The MT/Rs are loud on the street but grip very well in dirt, sand, and on rocks. I was disappointed to see the KO2 runs pretty small. They're a way smaller diameter than the MT/Rs in the "same" size. I had to...
Just picked up five Bfg KO2s in 315/70/17 from them. No sales tax and $100 instant rebate. I had the San Jose store install them today. It was an okay experience, not great.
Update: Well, my wife sent me a pic of my Anvil JKUR next to a Great White shark. She said the color reminded her of the top of the shark. So...after thinking about it, the name of my rig is officially "Jaws" now. Will get custom lettering/artwork for the hood later. Problem solved! My rig has...
Not sure what to call mine. Dreadnought comes to mind, since it's a gray slow moving outdated tech lumbering machine.
Or a joke from my Corps days...Ricky Recon.
Any suggestions for my gray JK?
Just ordered a Tuff Stuff Ranger tent (comes with annex). Should arrive in a couple days. Will update once I get it sorted out. It was about the best value I could find in terms of quality and features for the price point.
Was considering going there in my JKUR next week for an overnight camp at the overlook spot. Hmm. Snow might be thicker by now. Decisions...decisions...
Hilo High grad here...from a long time ago. On the mainland now. Used to camp/surf at Waipi'o valley in the early '80s. Lots of Mauna Kea time hunting back then. Good times.
Just picked up a well modded '15 JKUR and joined OB. I'm in the south Bay Area. No civilian overland experience, but I have some solid bushcraft and land navigation experience from my days in the Corps. Really looking forward to camping at Corral Hollow, Lake Alpine, and Strawberry Lake soon...
