It was epic. Three days and hundreds of miles around the park. Weather was great. I have 30 gigs of video I need to edit now. Been so busy with work, no time to edit. Pics and videos will be posted later.
Update: After hundreds of miles in Death Valley, the washboards made me realize I needed to add a jam nut to each turnbuckle. The constant vibration kept backing off the turnbuckles a little, resulting in a loss of cable tension. I had to hand tighten them once per day. A jam nut per turnbuckle...

On day 3, instead up going back north to Stove Pipe Wells, we coud head west from the Ashford Mills ruins. That way, we could see the Warm Springs Camp, the Geoligist's cabin, the Mengel cabin, and Barker Ranch (Charles Manson hideout).
It would be the reverse direction of this video:
I'm sure you can figure something out. A few local places sell gas cans. I don't have a great gas can setup either, but that won't stop me from going. I'll figure something out.
Was thinking of starting from the south end in Ridgecrest instead of Big Pine up north. Thoughts on this route plan?
