    Jeep Owners Represent!

Ever been flagged down by a cactus in the middle of nowhere? I have.

I toured EarthRoamer's Factory Yesterday [Photos]

It had to be, otherwise it would be nearly impossibly. Good intel.

    Which awning?

Love my Rhino Rack Batwing 270. You can see it in this vid.

    Gobi Stealth Rack Awning Brackets

Well, I have a Gobi Stealth rack on my JKUR with a RTT and Rhino Rack Batwing awning. I tried the Foutreks mounts and they didn’t work. So, I used these brackets and they worked great. To the OP, I don’t think any brackets will allow you to use the tent rainfly supports if you have a Batwing...

Jeep jku limb risers. Or any limb riser.

I made my own for my JKUR. I keep them pretty tight. They’ve saved me from pinstripes and maybe a cracked windshield a few times. You can see them here:

    Navigation

I would recommend an iPad Pro running the Gaia GPS map over a laptop if you need a large screen. Way more user friendly and better supported. You can use an iPad on the fly with ease. Not so much with a Windows laptop. I use an iPad Mini on the trail and love it. Stopping to use a laptop would...

    Roof Top Tents

I’m not a trailer guy, but I have a JK with a RTT. Here’s my setup:

Using that spare tire must be a nightmare. Thing probably weighs a hundred pounds and it’s ten stories off the ground.

Death Valley with a Pacific Overlander rental

I did three days in the park last April. Three part video series documented it. You can get ideas for your trip in my videos. At the end of each vid is the link to the next one. Part 1:

You are the first one to ever get that. I’m impressed. Deserves a salute.

OP, check out my three part DV video series. It’ll give you intel and ideas for your trip. I strongly recommend you watch all three videos. Enjoy. If you like what you see, please subscribe. Part 1 Part 2 Part 3

    Lake Alpine

Not going to happen if you’re planning on going to the camp spot 1.5 miles in from Hwy4. The trail is too rutted and rocky for your setup. There are other spots to check out though. Check out my three part video series of that area...

    Overlanding in the Sierra Nevadas

Great question. I don’t have that ability yet, because the 80v battery charger has a high amp draw, which the Jeep inverter and my portable power pack I use can’t handle. I only have the one saw battery, which lasts for about 150 cuts. So I only use the saw when needed on longer trips. I also...

    Overlanding in the Sierra Nevadas

Thanks for the feedback. I think the narration makes it more personal. It helps to tell the story, which is what a video should do in my opinion. There should be a story that takes the viewer along for the ride. I’ve started to be a story teller in the last few months since my Death Valley...

    Overlanding in the Sierra Nevadas

Thanks. I’m old school, so doing videos isn’t in my wheel house but I do it anyway. Hopefully people can get something out of it. I have fun with it and try not too take it seriously. The journey is the main thing. The video helps me remember the experience down the road.
