My plan was to stay Fri night through Sun early afternoon.

In CA, there are ways around it. Since our fuel is unique here (terrible 91 oct and Diesel 2)...you can have the vehicle registered as an alternative fuel (exempted from ban). That's how tuners brought Nissan R34 Skyline GT-Rs here.

I never went, due to a blizzard that weekend. I went down south instead. Right now the lake is frozen solid and the road is snowed over. I think next July will be doable, but we'll still have to break through snow.
