This is the one I use. The mount is very secure. I did have to add a small quick-fist to the side of the footwell to reduce vibration though. It just clamps right into the riser bar.
That’s one idea, and a worthy one. Another way to go about it is to take them off now while they are still worth selling and use proceeds to get actual sliders. There’s still a chance for body damage if you hit those hard and they will have no resale value.
So here is the general advice that I always give.
Regardless of budget, always focus on the quality and condition of the frame first. Then suspension, brakes and lastly the drivetrain. All in that order. Drivetrains wear out and need replacement the most. Then brakes, then suspension and...
Seen it in person!!!
Went to Virgin a few years back w my son and camped at/rode Holy Guacamole.
I’ve been aMTBr since ‘97 and the progression has been amazing.
MTB was my start to overlanding. Needed a good rig to get to the good trails!!!
Not sure if you’ve made up your mind, but I got White Knuckle sliders for my Tundra from up in apple valley. Used self etching primer and spray can liner and they came out very nice.
Demmelo are nice as well, and both are relatively local so no shipping cost and supporting local business...
My turn....

Oh, and here’s a nifty little trick. Instead of the ESP $200 plastic tubs, just DIY it!,

Built myself a DIY charging station from the batteries in my kids old electric big-wheel trike. The big wheel ran on two batteries w 24v 7AH (series) so I rewired to 12v 14AH (parallel). Then I added in a power switch, 4 USB outlets (one w a volt meter built in to let me know remaining...
Installed some airliner track fittings in my pickup bed to increase my options for securing gear. Going to put in two longer tracks running front to back.
I’m starting a similar project. Not w deep cycle marine batteries, but w some 12V 7AH batteries from my kids old electric bigwheel.
I like the idea of portable charging for electronics.
Figure I can do it for under $50.
This is the battery. Right now it’s two in series for 24v 7AH. I plan to rewire it in parallel for 12v 14AH. As you can see it has an inline fuse. It’s 30 amp but I’ll change to 5 maybe. When I rewire it I’ll be sure to have the fuse between the battery and usb hub. Really like the idea...
Oh. The BK9
Great do it all. It is a great chopper, does batton work and I can still do bushcraft w it.
I stripped the blade and gave it a patina. It also had an annoying thumb jib on top that I ground down a bit.
Here’s the handle. Zebra wood cross grain finished w tongue oil and bees wax...
I’ll play along...

No offense taken... We're all good bro.
We all learn something by being here.
So as long as we are on the topic, what is your take on the spacer lifts (in more detail)?
I've never had one so my comments about possible harm to the vehicle are all InterWeb knowledge and what I know a TON...
