A few of our favorites in Oregon.
This one is in the Willamette National forest in Oregon with our Jeep and trailer. Felt like we had our own private lake! It was random site with a table a few miles off a main highway on a forest road.
This one was in the Ochoco National Forest in Oregon...
Hi there! We live in Southern Oregon so most of our time is spent in that area.......we have a few favorite spots in the forest but also along the Elk River are some great spots to camp. It’s on rock, but still great spots! You will find others up the area looking for spots too, especially on...
Have you went on your trip yet? If not, might be able to help with the Oregon beach camping, depending on your vehicle, the weather and if you are tenting. Where we go just limits to 14 days of camping. This is one of our favorite spots. Photo was taken last night....though it was just an...
There’s actually at least one area you can, it’s a 14 day limit. It’s our favorite area to explore....we actually just took our friend there recently to camp with his trailer/RTT (see the photo), as he had on his bucket list to camp next to the ocean. [emoji1]
Here’s another area where we...
How was your coastal trip!? I hope you enjoyed it! The coast has a lot to offer. [emoji1]
We don’t log in too often to overland bound, so we are just now seeing your post......
Cory and Julie
If you get to the Coos Bay Area, let us know and we can share some of our favorite sand roads with you. If Cory is off call, we can even guide you out to the north Spit area...to the north jetty, some old WWII bunkers, etc.
We will definitely be there. This year we stayed in Leavenworth, but next year we are definitely camping. We had a blast this year! Did the Hole in the Rock trail ride and it was a great time, too.

Going to try sharing directly from Gaia. I didn’t start tracking until a bit into the route off Hwy 97. However you can see where we started if you just look at where we ended...
I could, probably. Here’s the coordinates for the start of the trail off NF 9718 at Hole in the Rock. It’s about a 3 mile long trail that loops around.

This was our first Overland Rally and we decided to do one of the guided trail rides. We had a great time and highly recommend Hole in the Rock in WA as a fun day adventure. Just wanted to share......

The route should be fine in June. By then any downed trees from the winter should be removed. I hope you enjoy route 6 as much as we did! Do you have both the paper map and gps route? We found having both was very helpful......
-Julie
What routes are you doing? We have done route 6 and 2. Loved them both. Along route 2, definitely check out Walker Mountain (it’s on the map). It’s really cool at the top. Along route 6, definitely do a side trip to the Bohemia mine area. I can’t remember if it’s on the printed map or not. We...
