Hey guys, its been awhile since I have posted. I drifted off for a bit, but am coming back.
This is a be careful when you buy note.
I recently picked up a 2011 Lexus gx460 and it came with some bells and whistles. One of them being the rear door tire mount by JW Offroad. Before I get into it...
Many of us have kids that come along on our trips and we like to make something special for them to enjoy around the camp fire.
We stumbled across a neat simple treat, that we like to call Smore-Eo's. It's simple take your favorite Smore and add a marshmallow to the center and BOOM a new quick...
Many of us know that fire starter cubes, fire paste, pine needles, petroleum jelly soaked cotton balls as well as drier lint can start vamp fires when the weather is not cooperating.
I have also found that in a pinch, a good old car flare will work great to get a fire going, even if its raining...
I have a 4th gen. and love it, so my vote went to the 4th gens. However I think for 4Runners it all comes down to personal preference. The first gen had a straight axle front and is highly sot after, the 2nd & 3rd gens have tons of after market parts available and are lower cost to buy. The 4th...

We have a Off-Road Tear drop, that we plan on doing a few things to as we learn more of what we need and like. What trailers do you all have and what mods have you done?
We have a off-road teardrop trailer and found a 6" thick futon mattress (full), that fit inside. Way better than the 3" foam that came with it. We turn on the fan and sleep like babies.
I'm getting ready to upgrade my tires and I know the 285's will fit ok if you have a 3" lift. But has anyone done this with just a 2"? Is there plenty of clearance? I have been planning on running 255?75 R17's, but am curious about the 285's. I am still running stock size.
Thanks!
This could be a great round the fire topic of conversation. How many people have a story about a mistake you made while prepping, on you way to, or on an Overland trip, that at the time you didn’t think was funny, but can now look back and smile.
I recently had one of these times. I went out on...
