I got to thinking about mounting a flashlight or two in my truck while Im building it and the question that keeps coming up in my head is which brand?
Ive always used streamlight around my shop as the go to flashlight. Im not sure if thats because the snapon man sells them and that just...
Today I was finally able to steal a couple hours on one of the vehicle lifts in the shop. Hard to find time this part of the year.
No how we are pulling the factory 2wd suspension in preparation for the 4wd conversion to start! This I feel will be the one thing that will change the look of...
That shows my ignorance :tearsofjoy:
Thank you for the input. I had never thought about that but I can see how having the slats across the vehicle could cause a wind noise issue.
I have seen my fair share of light bars make terrible noise!
Thank yall for the help. I will definitely look...
Ok, I'm less than ignorant when it comes to the right rack and why so I was hoping for some words of wisdom from a few of you guys that have some better insight on this subject.
I am building a fullsize F250 so I should be plenty of real estate to work with. The rack will needs to be able to...
It has been some kind of busy around my shop the past couple of weeks and I just have had time to do much to my truck. So I decided yesterday to just make time.
I got the sending unit modified and the tank mocked up on the truck.
Now time to get the new Irate Diesel E-fuel setup...
Got a little more done on the truck. We pulled the seats and carpet to clean the floor and sound deaden it. To my surprise it was actually pretty dang clean under there.
I was also able to score myself a sweet Leer Topper for it for $75! Dang I love Facebook Marketplace sometimes. Haha...
I thought I would share a few pictures from a trip my wife and I took this past August to arguably the most beautiful place I've ever been. Washington state
North Cascades - Mt Rainier - Olympic National Parks
Mt. Baker
Mt. Rainier
I'm not gonna lie I was super envious of this guy...
It seems like most overland builds are jeeps or tacomas but I'm kind of a different soul so I decided to go with a fullsize rig! Sure it's probably not near as capable as the smaller rigs but it should do the trick for what I'm going to do with it.
I'm going to build a 1997 Ford F-250 crewcab...
These aren't my builds but there are some pretty slick setups here so I figured I would post them up for everyone to enjoy.

Great build! I love the new 4Runners. Can't wait to see the rest of the build.
I'm super jealous of the area you live in it's so nice up there. Lol my wife and I were in the Mt. Rainier area about a month ago and I'm already ready to go back.

That's for sure. On top of overlanding having two of my favorite things as a factor (vehicles and the outdoors) but like you say it has the added bonus of being prepared at any moment for anything.

There's no way I could say it was limited to friends that would defeat the purpose of the whole experience!
We're talking about starting in Puyallup, Wa.

Something that started out as a well a joking suggestion has started to develop into what I feel like is going to be a pretty epic trip. A group of friends and I have been talking about the idea of making a trip in July of 2019 from all over the United States meeting up in Seattle, Wa. and...
Yea I decided since we were big into the diesel industry with our business that I should build a full size diesel overlander. That and I like to be comfortable when I travel so a nicer platform superduty seemed to fit the bill.
