    North Carolina overlanding

Looking at getting one last trip in before the end of the year. Can anyone advise on the Old House Gap vs Old 105, as to somewhat "scenic" camping spots? are there any passes needed etc? Excuse the ignorance, but have been historically used to needing a pass to camp anywhere.

    2019 Silverado TrailBoss

I ended up with the Fabtech Kit with the dirt logic coils and shocks. They're getting built now, and I think will end up a little happier with the setup. When I get back to the US it will be going on in the next few weeks.

Medical Equipment Facts and Myths (hemostatics, tourniquets, etc.)

I don’t disagree, nor do I think your being a hard ass. I would however counter that the purpose of this forum is to provide valid information for others to learn from, pertinent to overlanding. I think this subject is valid for ANYONE who purchases or carries a first aid kit in their vehicle or...

Medical Equipment Facts and Myths (hemostatics, tourniquets, etc.)

Agreed!! Blindly picking tools is not a good path forward for medicine. And like some above have said, it’s not the “goal” of this forum (agreed) but allowing access to good and valid information I think sure is. I’m simply dropping some nuggets for people to research on their own or ask questions

Medical Equipment Facts and Myths (hemostatics, tourniquets, etc.)

I was originally going to reply to a post but felt this was a good opportunity to start a thread to provide some solid info on medical equipment. So if I may start on the hemostatic (blood clotter) discussion and hopefully provide some clarity. Hemostatic agents such as your quick clot, celox...

    2019 Silverado TrailBoss

It’s pretty easy to access, there are two cutouts in the bumper that allow to access the clutch or rope. I guess to put it easily, I mounted the winch before mounting the bumper but was able to wire it after the bumper was mounted up, so pretty solid access.

    New Member North Carolina

Hey guys, Andrew here from outside Charlotte, NC. I Have been into the overland rig building and adventuring for a while now, finally have the opportunity to enjoy it. Previously worked professionally in the off-road aftermarket and then enlisted in the army. Most of my time has been as a...

    2019 Silverado TrailBoss

So I’m running the Fab Fours Matrix, and they did a pretty solid job at “hiding” the winch and not pushing the weight too* far forward. There’s a winch tray now that extends behind the front skid plate, and then bumper attaches in front of it. Overall it’s a pretty solid set up. I’m still trying...

    2019 Silverado TrailBoss

So sticking with the theme of making things harder on myself, I decided to do a trail boss build instead of the Toyota or Jeep route. I only spend about half the year in the US, so every time I’m home I am trying to add to the Rig. Next step will be suspension. I’m genuinely interested in some...
