So, I ended up having the same problem with my CURT also. What I discovered was the metal connectors weren't getting good contact and either the lights wouldn't work, or work on on side, or not properly work, etc. I stuck my knife in the male prongs and slight spread the connectors and it fixed...
The tires are amazing. They are only slihtly larger than the stock but they a much better AT tire design.They aren't any rougher and they are great in all the terrain I have driven so far. Sand, dirt, rock, mud, snow, and a 1600 mile mile trip on interstate/two lane roads. I also have the 2.4 I4.
Did you use he Curt wiring harness? Thats what I used but haven't hooked it up t the trailer yet. I guess I'll do that this weekend. I put the harness two weeks ago.
I'm here. I have ditched the stock tires and put on 245/70/17 BFG KO2s without any issue. I'm not planning on doing a lift. I had a lifted TJ and I never really liked the way it felt. I'm installing a Garvin wilderness rack this week and ditching the current Yakima crossbars and roof basket...
