    OB Members Nebraska

Based out of Wakefield, NE. Just moved here from Iowa so I am kinda in both regions right now on OB. I have a 07 Tacoma that has been into SD, WI, MN, IA, IL, and MO on various trips. If anyone is in northeast NE or norhtwest IA I can hook you up with food, places to stay, or mechanics if needed.

US Rocky Mountain Rigs and Coffee recon

Weekends would definitely be the only way for me. I am about an hour and a half south of Sioux Falls, but would gladly make a trip up that way to connect with people.

    Tacoma Suspension Question

First place I would start if I was you would be to figure out how much weight you are going to be carrying on your detachable system. Once you know that you can figure out what rear leaf springs would fit the bill. Your front coil overs will all be adjustable so they are the easiest part. You...

    What boots do members wear

Currently am using a couple different pairs of Oboz. I used to run Keens exclusively but they fitted sloppy in the heels for my liking and I couldn't stand Merrel and how they fit my fit.

    Tacoma Suspension Question

I own a 2007 Tacoma which suspension wise is practically identical to your 2019. You will only be adding 3" of lift to your truck unless you want to start getting into a drop bracket lift or if you are 2wd then you can easily put in a 4" spindle lift. You will want to look into leaf springs...

    Obsruction of view?

I have not had any issues however that is very obnoxious in my opinion and you definitely will risk getting stopped for that. Assuming you're using a ram mount you should get a longer "shaft" and make it where you can move it over to the passenger side more and lower. Although I do see it...

    Cycle suspension after lift.

If all bolts are tight and its doing it on moguls (my roads are that bad too) then I would definitely say you are bottoming out. You will need to upgrade your springs for sure. Shocks will be a smart upgrade too, but not necessarily needed depending on what you have on there now. Not sure...

    Windbreakers

Here is another great option. I found an OR jacket at REI and now I'm hooked on their stuff. The quality is great and this would defiantly fit the windbreaker category. They also have varying styles to fit the bill if you want it for colder or warmer temps. Men's Ferrosi Hooded Jacket - burnt...

US Midwest Minnesota Meet and Greet 05/11/2019

I would potentially be willing to come up from NW IA depending on the location and what the drive would be for me.

    Bikini tops

I came here looking to see multiple bikini tops and was disappointed in the lack of pictures.

US West Expedition Overland's Vehicles for Sale - 4Runner Tacoma

It saddens me to see them slowly move away from the Toyota platforms and move onto much larger rigs. Obviously someone is going to be getting a dream rig, but with a nice hit to the bank account.

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

https://www.naturalstateoverland.org/rendezvous-in-the-ozarks-info Here is a working link. I hand typed that one out and probably messed it up. Wasn't sure if I would be able to access the website at work.

    Rendezvous in the Ozarks

I know for some of us getting to Overland Expo East or West is out of question. The Rendezvous in the Ozarks looks like it could be the central U.S. answer. It is located at the Byrd's Adventure Center in Arkansas. It is going to be held October 18-20...

    Camp Kitchen Chuck Box

That looks good! You can always use it for awhile and then sell it and make yourself he one of your dreams and tweak it to fit your needs after having it.

    Broken bow lake/quachita national forest

Looks like a great place to go and get away from the hustle and bustle. I will definitely have to check it out if I ever get near.

    Rig Headliner Patch Collection

Velcro backed should just attach. As far as the Toyota guys it works perfectly! I have half my headliner full and they don't move.

    Cash or Card

Always should have a small stash of cash readily available. Cards are great for purchasing gas and such due to the security of them, but you should always carry a decent amount of cash when traveling as well. You'd be surprised at what people will do for a little bit of cold, hard cash.

    OB Overlanding Orientation Course

This sounds like a great idea! I think one of the best ways to implement it would be either a podcast or webinar. That way people could review and do it at their own pace, along with being able to ask the instructor questions via Conversations or in real time depending on what route you went.
