Well, we be at Mt Pisgah Campground on the Blue Ridge ParKwai 4th of July weekend. And mountain biking at DuPont State Forest. Check out expeditionportal also. Southeast Region is fairly active.
Just a casual gathering. Will likely run a few forest service roads and just hang out at camp. Hick Hop, the weekend before is a bit more ‘organized’ and at a large group area. Been ‘hosting’ it for about 6 years. I usually hang out over at expeditionportal.com under the same name in Southeast...
We’ll be in our regular spot A26. Good showers. Probably be a busy weekend, but fun watching the golf carts all lit up. The primitive area is kind of secluded from the main area. LBL Reservation System - LBL for reservations.
It’s back at Colson Group Camp. Land Between the Lakes. Colson finally open again. Price has increased significantly, but still not bad. $40 per night for the whole area. I’ll pay the reservation fee then we can divide by how many show up. Look forward to seeing everyone around the big group...
You’ll be fine. We don’t get goofy. All in daily drivers. We are doing another one with camping in October. I have a thread on expedition portal in the southeast region area. If you want to maybe meet up sometime before then just hit me up. There’s awesome mountain biking on the north end. Thats...
There most every weekend. In fact, we are doing a group camp and ride at Colson Group Camp over Labor Day weekend. You are welcome to join if you like. Now if you want to meet a great group of folks, hang out, and do some mild trail riding come join us.
Plenty of gravel roads and plenty of 300...
DuPont State Forest. Waterfalls, waterfalls, waterfalls. If you mountain bike ride you have to go. Pisgah Forest. Beautiful are just outside Asheville. If you to DuPont, get there early or go during the week. Crowds on the weekend. NCFS - DuPont Recreational State Forest - Waterfalls Graveyard...
Well, I did it. Diffs supposed to be back from East Coast Gear Supply tomorrow. Plan to have back in and off the jack stands by the end of next weekend. 4.88s and limited slip rear.
Yeah. My logical mind says this is the right thing to do. Would it be nice? Yes. But, little to zero real benefit. I could get from stop light to stop light a little quicker.I think I get it back to stock for now. Get the 04 upgraded a tad then if things change later just have the gears...
Nothing. Unless something is worn out. $1500 still buys quite a bit of fuel. Make sure the maintenance is 100% on it and upgrade as things go bad, wear out, or just dont perform the way you would like them to. A CB is nice to have if you're with a group, but hand helds work just as well. Rear...
Well, the day has come. The rear diff is going bad on my 3rd gen 4Runner with 230k miles on it. It has 285/75/16s on it. It’s a pleasure truck, not a daily. I swore years back if the diff ever gave up I would regear to 4.88s. It’s mainly a local camping truck and pulls the SoCal teardrop...
