I saw that, and that's what's giving me hope, haha. The only difference is his generation has a solid axle up front, my generation is when they switched to IFS, so not quite the flex and strength up front.
I have to say this is definitely a trip I would love to take. For those who have run it before, do you think an un-lifted, all stock 97 Suburban can make the run? It does have the factory "off road" equipment (rear locker and skids). If she'll make the run, I'm definitely interested.
I've been running Falken Wildpeak AT3 tires for the last year. Did some good camping last year summer with them on, they did great in the snow this winter as well. So far, so good. Quietest AT tire I've run on the highway, and they're wearing great so far.
