If I am looking at your picture correctly, it seems that you bolt the rtt on the rails not the cross bars.
Even though on your pic w/o rtt you have cross bars that are a little bit arch to support a flat surface like the one from the rtt.
I think you are right, this apply to a regular RV fridge. What about while being powered by the main battery and turning the car on and off while traveling. Will that cut off of power be ok?
I just purchased my Dometic CFX3 35. Along these lines I have been reading about not tilting the fridge, keep it level etc if not the compressor will go bad. When we travel and have the fridge plug to the 12V outlet on a road trip, stopping and going (not in traffic) but gas, bathroom breaks etc...
I use a Front Runner Expander chair, pretty comfortable, right table height. And I just found the GCI Xpress Director , thinking on giving it a try since it is cheaper than the Front Runner same concept.
