I'm sure that on day 1 in the area you will head SW out Cascade Lakes Hwy. toward Mt Bachelor and countless other recreational locations. You will know pretty quickly how significant a factor snow will be. You can find camping immediately out of town or 30 miles up into the mountains. China Hat...
I know I'm late to the party, but people refer to these even after the original poster has made their choice, so here you go.
Having run both of these, the top 3 things I noticed are
1)BFGs have very long life
2)Duratracs have wider voids between lugs and are 2/32 of an inch deeper tread when...
If you want that height but skinny, check out 235/85 r16... it's something like a 32x9.5, which is hard to find. Not many other sizes include the 85 aspect ratio.

A) 1995 4runner 22re, 31" tires, 4.11 gears, yakima rack with wind faring. Up to 22 hwy, 17-18 city... don't bother calculating trail miles because low range, long idles, hill climbs make it both insanely bad on fuel as well as unpredictable depending on too many factors.
B) 2007 Tundra 4wd 5.7L...
Well I feel dumb. Just searched "fiskars saw blade replacement" in Amazon and up popped results for this style of blade. Guess they do make them which is good news for me, and for all of you, if you take my advice and get this style blade [emoji1]
For credibility, I was a full time landscaper...
I have an ancient "woodzig" wood handled saw. I love it. The teeth are not pointed like most so it does not get caught on everything, but it cuts wood like butter. In trying to search for a replacement (in case this one bites the dust, since I love it) it seems like Fiskars bought the name, but...
Thoughts and reasons... Well I don't make much money working at a youth camp and I am extra cheap to boot. However, I do appreciate quality. I chose a 2nd gen 4runner with 22re. Though it costs more up front than a Cherokee or pathfinder or similar, none of the competition gets 20+ mpg...
1995 4runner. New radiator, thermostat, washer fluid pump, valve cover gasket set, and swapped back to summer tires. The 28" studs were looking so dinky. It's nice to be back to 31" ATs [emoji3]
Also painted the wheels so I now have a much more tough look with matte black than I had with the old...
I don't know guys... I say let the market speak. Sure there is value in "rewarding innovation" but it's only possible if you are ABLE to spend 4x as much on something just to pat the back of the company that made it. As a young father of two and the only worker in the household, it would be...
1987 4runner 22re turbo, black, clean and ran like a top... I was a dumb college kid then and sold it so I could 5 more mpg in a POS eclipse that ended up blowing the motor a few short months later. WHY did you have to bring this up?? Its painful.

I have a 1995 4runner. The rear wasn't too saggy but I bought moog CC255's and they make it sit nice and level. You might want an extra inch or two to even out the load you haul and since the rear wheel wells sit a couple inches lower. Looking back I sort of wish I had just added bags inside the...
Also, the location doesn't sound like a big blow out threat, just a spot that might continue a slow leak around the patch if run long term. So it should be a very safe option.
