Currently, there is work going on at the far south end of the island, and we may not able to go past mile 59(Mansfield Cut and jetties). I am not sure about the timetable for them to wrap things up, but they have been working on it for the past few months. Beach access is unrestricted to that...
The only thing that I am seeing regarding the 2-4 weeks is the member items, which I assume is the emblem. Not the end of the world, just making sure I am not missing something.
Recently bought my first 4x4 and it came equipped with brand new AT2s. Because there is so much life left, I am not planning on replacing them until needed. I am just curious if there is anything I should be aware of before taking them on any trails.
Side note, I will not be doing any rock...

It would be worth checking out the Ouchita National Forest southeast of Ft Smith and make your way to Hot Springs National Park. Once you are east of Little Rock it is pretty much farmland off of I40.
Not sure on overlanding trails but the Arkbuckle Mtns in Southern Oklahoma are a pretty cool...

Our son is 10 and is pretty good on longer road trips with his iPad, but we try to limit that as much as possible.
