Yea the cheap lift vs expensive lift is where I am sitting right now. Been trying to decide if I want to go with the OME HD lift or say screw it and get the IRO 4" LA lift.
@ShawnR are you carrying a complete socket set or just the specific sockets you would need for your rig? I have talked to a lot of people that put their tool kits together based on using only certain tools that are required for their rig. You could look at what you would need to perform the...
I agree @oldfooladventures I started in that forum and everyone was helpful. Now I ask a simple question and get oh these guys make a great product $100+ when I am trying to fab something on the cheap. Its pretty bad. I love what Michael and @Corrie do here keeping it real for those of us who...
FedEx dropped off a couple ARB boxes today. Got my 2000X2500 Awning and Room with floor. Now I just need to get my rack extension done and get it mounted. I am thinking while doing my extension I can weld some 1/8" plate to the outside of the rack to serve as a mounting point for my awning.

Seen the bumper. Would like to see the brush guard they are making for it. Would love to see the hatch carrier too! Sounds like a cool way to save some weight.

I agree with most of this. But find it hard to meet these "commandments". For instance I am currently planning my WJ build and no...
Question for you Grand Cherokee guys. What are you doing with your spares? I am wanting a rear bumper and tire carrier but with wanting to keep our rigs as light as possible I am worried about the weight.
BTW here's my basically stock 99 that is getting built up. Only has 170k on the clock.
I carry everyday unless I am at work where I am not allowed. My wife is getting her permit this year and will do the same. Before every trip we look at different reciprocity maps and call the state police just for confirmation. This allows us to be sure we can legally carry in those states...
What thickness of plate or how thick are the mounts you guys are using to mount your ARB awnings? I am getting some work done to my current rack and am going to have my buddy weld on some plate for mounting. @Offroad Touring
