As far as the GMRS radios, are the licenses needed just because you have the equipment? I know HAM has a practical exam with theory and regulations. Is the GMRS similar?

FR 74 crosses State Road 19 in the north east section of Ocala national forest. The west side of the road is something you can take any vehicle on. The east gets really muddy with very little rain. I would not recommend going down that road without it either being dry for a few days beforehand...
