I'm new to all this but really interested in trying out an easy trail nearby. I'm in Montclair. Anybody know one that can be done in half a day or less. That would be cool for a newbie like me.

Bilstein 5100s are pretty good, I have it on my 03 4runner with Dobinson springs all around. So far I'm happy with the handling on the highway. Haven't gone off-road yet.

Least expensive would be rough country lift kit for 4runner. Re use all your old suspension parts. The kit is for front and back for about 170. Bucks. Google it.

Looks great thinking of doing something like that, got a 4th gen too. Just joined up so I haven't taken the rig out yet. Hope to see some of you guys out on the trails soon. Right now concentrating on making it trailworthy.

Hi, I'm Teng just finished putting a lift on an old 2003 4rumner and I think I'm ready for some adventures. My kids have all moved out, still working but now have some time to meet new people and see at least some places in Southern California where I live. Nice to be here.
