The more the merrier! For the one who'd be bringing their own rig, assuming they're not on OB and therefore can't RSVP, if you could just let us know if they're coming that would help with numbers for planning the camping arrangements.
I haven't bought a heated blanket yet but I did just buy the Jackery 240. Last week it was randomly on sale on Amazon - $70 off! So it was like $180 instead of the usual $250. Fastest $180 has ever left my bank account.
And it's awesome. I can't wait till it gets cold enough to try...
And to piggyback off of @Apdski 's question, an FYI for everyone:
Whether you do Friday to Sunday, Friday to Saturday, or Saturday to Sunday, we'll be hitting the trail on Saturday. Friday will just be camping at a campground because the majority of folks will either be heading out after work...
Exactly. Once we get closer to the date, I'll set a time for everyone to meet at the trailhead (probably 10 o'clock-ish) and then we'll hit the trail together.
That's impressive. I've got 225/65R17's on my 2010 Foz and it's definitely the largest I can go.
Getting those on there required a small amount of wheel well liner shaving in the front to avoid scrubbing when about halfway between straight and full lock. And the tops of the front tires clear...
OK folks, November trip is live! :grinning:

Rally Point is in the thread, so you can RSVP there. There's also a poll in the thread to vote for Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Sunday. That'll help...
@THorner RSVP issue should be fixed now, please try again. That system is really weird. Apparently, even though you've already set the number of rigs allowed, you also have to set the number of RSVPs that are allowed. But you can't set the number of RSVPs without sending out invites...
So I...
Thanks for the heads up, @THorner . I'll try to get that fixed. I need to get a poll added to this thread as well (had to run out the door right when I published the rally point ).
As for camping, I'll figure that out once we see how many people are coming and whether we're going to do Friday to Sunday or Saturday to Sunday.
For those who are coming, please cast your vote in the poll on this thread for the preferred trip duration.
Fall's officially here, which means ideal camping temps are soon to come!
For this trip, we'll be exploring Musterground Rd in the Bad Creek Reservoir area.View Rally Point
I'll go ahead and just create a separate meetup thread and rally point for this event. It's usually best to just choose a date and whoever can come can come.
Link to come once I get that setup.
Since it sounds like we've got some interest in Musterground, I can take the reins on this one.
How does the first weekend of November sound for everyone? That'll give me time to get back out there to see if we'll have anything available for camping out there, or if we'll need to run...
Finally got out to Musterground Rd today (it just opened last Sunday) and it's a really pretty trail. A lot of it is directly next to the lake, so you're overlooking it while you're driving. It'll be especially nice, as far as views go, when the leaves drop.
They did a ton of maintenance on it...
I can't speak to that personally, as I don't currently have any satellite communication devices, but the inReach devices do get really good reviews. And their subscription plans are pretty reasonable - especially if you're only planning on using it for emergencies, which the cheapest plan would...
Yeah, both Android and Apple have much more active developer communities than Microsoft as far as mobile apps go, so your software options on either platform are virtually endless.
Yup, locked down devices irk me as well. It is attractive to a lot of folks because it plays into the desire for something that "just works out of the box." And for those who that does work for, that's great. But ultimately, it's trading short term gains for long term usefulness.
And FYI, in...
