    Subaru Forester - '18 XT

Awesome. Have you noticed any increase in road noise with the Falkens? I'm either going to go with those or the Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015s.

I love the solar panel implemention. On top of the vinyl wrap protecting your paint, it also makes the solar panel blend in to where you almost wouldn't even notice it was there. That's a great idea about a hitch-mounted winch. I'm in the same camp as you about not wanting to drop a crazy...

    Subaru Forester - '18 XT

This is an amazing build! Have you had any "opportunities" yet to test out the 6000s and see how well it does for getting you out of a tough spot?

    Friday Night HAM Radio NET

I'll just be listening tonight. I should be prepared to jump on next week. This is good anyways so I can get a feel for how to properly communicate.

    Friday Night HAM Radio NET

I literally just finished getting the radio installed in my car like an hour ago, so I'm rushing to try and figure it out so I can jump on the net. :tearsofjoy:

Does anyone know how to connect to the net from a Yaesu FTM-400? I can't find anything in the manual about connecting to EchoLink Nodes and I can't find anything on the Googles.

HAM Radio Call Sign Check-In Thread

Makes sense. Thanks for the replies. For now, all I'm wanting to accomplish is trail comms. But I have a feeling I'm going to be compelled to go deeper down the rabbit hole after checking out ARRL Field Day for the first time in June. Contesting seems like it'd be really fun.

Congrats! How much more involved would you say it is to get your General or Amateur Extra, as far as additional content that you have to be familiar with? I just got licensed as a Technician a few weeks ago. Was wondering if it'd be worthwhile to just keep working towards the higher...

Gotcha. And did they send you something letting you know that you got it or did you just have to keep checking to see if it showed up in their database?

    Galley Build

That looks great! And I love the "semi-permanent" nature of it. Meaning it looks super solid but has the luxury of being able to be removed with very little fuss if you ever needed/wanted to. I'm curious about the propane stove. Since it looks like the right side, where the propane tank mounts...
