Over the past three mornings (before it got too hot outside) I pulled the transfer case out of my Tahoe to do the "GM pump rub fix kit". Pulled it out Tuesday, replaced the part and reassembled the t-case yesterday, and reinstalled it with the help of my brother in law today. Aluminum pump vs...
So sadly my buddy isn't going to be able to make it with the Odyssey. When inspecting it earlier today he found 2 torn CV boots. Probably a bad idea to get dirt in there. Maybe next time
Mounted up my new Ram Mount today. Drilled 4 holes in the cupholder and used some aluminum that I had left over from a project on a previous car as a backplate
Would it be frowned upon to invite a non-member on this trip? He has a '95 Honda Odyssey that, after new Geolanders, should have about 11" of ground clearance according to Google
I know this was a few posts ago (hard to keep up with such a busy thread) but I also have a HERO4 (Silver?) and a HERO4 Session that I can bring. The Silver also has an external mic that I used when I ran autocross that ran from above the tailpipe to the camera over my shoulder. Pretty good...
I was told that I had a tail/brake light out when leaving work in the morning. After an 8ish hour nap picked up some LED replacements. 5 minutes with only undoing 2 screws on each side and I now have much better brake lights
I also thought about trying one of the trails before I did a ride along. During it I could just imagine absolutely smashing my rear LCA's and possibly a jab in the gas tank on some of the mounds/rocks. Still had a ton of fun
If you're talking about the piece that "protects" the serpentine belt, it looks simple enough that I was thinking about getting some 3/16" steel plate from a local metal supplier and remaking it for my Tahoe.
4 bolt holes, two bends, and I don't think the bulge in the middle has anything...
Finally, FINALLY after cutting, ordering, drilling, ordering some more, and assembling for two weekends and the past two days, I have my hitch mounted tire carrier
First off, thank you to @LVCoffeeguy for the original write up that I found on how to do this.
So I got a matching size 17" GMC wheel for the Tahoe a while back and I went to put it where the factory "skinny" spare normally sits, only to find out that it doesn't fit there.
As of right now I...
Technically 2 days ago but I forgot to post.
Adjusted the new torsion keys after the bars settled from the lift. Factory ground clearance is listed as 8.75" (at the rear diff which is the same since I still have stock size wheels) now I can't find anywhere else that isn't below 11"
Top of all...
So this happened today...
Noticed it was bubbling earlier this week so I set up an appointment to get it and the passenger window tint replaced Friday. Guess it was pretty good timing
