I'm not sure what classifies as odd ball but I'm assuming not the typical jeep, yota, or land rover. If that's the case here's my 2006 Ram 2500 Mega Cab
Appreciate the reply but I did all the same research that's how I narrowed my decision down to either a detroit locker for the rear and torsen in the front or torsen both front and rear. An E locker as an entire system has less moving parts than that of an airlocker. The E locker utilizing an...
I may have to reconsider my choice although my choices for a selectable locker are quite few, I believe I only have one choice. The ARB air locker, I'd much rather go with an E-locker but thats not an option for me as they don't make one for the AAM 11.5. The airlocker has more moving and...
With the 4.5" lift its just right in my opinion, I wanted something in between a 3" and 6" so that I'd be able to run 37" tires but not have an absolute monster lift. Also the Icon lift is great and when paired with either a carli or thuren active rate sway bar night and day difference off road.
Because they are 100% mechanical and self engaging or I guess disengaging. The HMMWV being one of the most offroad capable vehicles in the world (prior to being loaded down with ridiculous amounts or armor) I figured good enough for the hummer its bound to be good enough for me.
We wont be there for the October meeting, sounds like a very informative one though. The better half signed us up for a tough mudder thing well see y'all in November or hopefully sooner on a trip.
Remember to carry extra containers of DEF I'm not sure what the refill interval for that stuff is but I know running out on the trail would put a damper on any trip.
Well instead of going with all the suggestions including my own, I decided to just man handle the tent off the truck. It was successful and only took 5 minutes, removed mounting hardware slid towards the rear of the truck let it tilt down towards the tailgate and rested it there. Hopped down to...
Got all the recovery gear winch, straps, and all not to mention all the rigging one could ever want in my work truck. I just have no where high enough to rig off of. Your idea is definitely sound but no big tree in my yard unfortunately.
Yeah had a local vendor do the install since I had no way of getting up there lol. As soon as I figure out a method I'll be sure to do a full write up currently scouring google as well looking for ideas.
That's definitely a pretty good idea unfortunately for me I don't think thats going to work.
Really wish i went with one of the hard shells they are way more aerodynamic and sounds like they are easier to move since they aren't as bulky
Typically carry my Glock 21 on every camping trip, .45 ACP has good stopping and 13 rounds of it in one magazine or 10 rounds if you live in cali gives a good round count between reloads should it be necessary to do so. But for recreational shooting if its allowed where we're camping we'll...
Alright guys so I've been trying to think of easy ways to remove my RTT from my vehicle for when we're not going on adventures and such. My overland rig isn't my daily driver but when we do take it on long non overland trips it would be nice not have that brick of a tent of there killing my...
You pretty much hit the nail on the head, although the last run we did I aired down to only 35 psi. I also have a torsion sway bar as opposed to disconnecting sway bar end links, the sway bar alone night and day difference . And without a doubt a good suspension set up, the heavy duty trucks...
Mines is actually some what custom, it was originally designed for the US Military HMMWV's did some minor fab work so it would work on my truck. But there was one I that I was looking at if I wasn't able to get the hmmwv tire carrier to work. Check out the Wilco Offroad tire Carrier
