I bought this for use with my Camp Chef Everest and have Flame King refillable 1 pound bottles.
If I want to hook up to a BBQ 20 Lb or my 5 LB LP bottle I use one of the adapter hoses you can get at one of the big box stores.
This way I have the option to use either type of LP source depending...
Sounds great. Hope everything goes well getting ready. I'm making some changes to my rig and hope to have them completed for August 3rd. Looking forward to meeting you in person.
Welcome to the OB family. You have some great places to explore in WNC. There is a group trip planned for August 3-4, join us. We'll be exploring Gorges Park.
Hello Mike,
Welcome to OB, a bit of a newbie here too. There is a fairly active group over your way (I'm in eastern NC). We did a run up Old NC 105 a couple of weekends ago and had a blast. There is another one scheduled for August 3 weekend. Here is a link to that one. Aug.3 OB Gorges Ride...
Yup, starts at 9:00 on the 10th and runs until..... according to the website. Sounds like a good deal to me. From their website:
"The Gaston Radio Group will sponsor a technician element class on Saturday August 10, 2019 at Zion Baptist Church (church fellowship hall located behind the church)...
True, All of the new test questions are available online. You can self educate and then just take the test. I'm a little more belt and suspenders guy and would like to take a class. The class has no fee other than the time to attend. After the class the test is administered and you will know...
This has solidified my thoughts on adding a Ham unit in addition to my CB in my rig. I just need to figure out a solid unit (I’d prefer a base style than a handheld version) & get licensed.
Interesting that you should mention this. I've been looking at the requirements and if there atr any...
First, I'm glad that apparently no one was hurt. Second, my hope is that the recovery was expensive enough that the idiot in the Nissan pickup learned a lesson (we can only hope). Third I hope that someone had / has enough information to report the mess left behind so that the perpetrators can...
I am soooooo distraught. I've had something come up that may prevent me from going on this run. I was originally going to come over this afternoon and spend the night near Lake James. Now I'm trying to work out a plan to come over in the morning. Wish me luck! I'll keep you all posted so you...
I opted for the Vector OffRoad JL full width contour dock with 1" RAM mount ball accessories. Vector makes a similar product for the JKs. It is solid as a rock and I can mount all my stuff within easy quick glance so that my eyes aren't off the road for more than a split second. My Jeep has...
I usually use a RAM dash mount but also have a suction cup RAM mount that I can mount to an exterior window or body panel as well as a RAM claw mount that I can mount to any of a number of places on my roof rack. My GoPros are set up with a remote so that I can turn them on and off regardless...
I will have my very old Nikon DSLR with me as well as a couple of original GoPro Hero 1, the original, but they still work. I'd be glad to get some footage of you from in front or behind or both your choice. Not both at the same time of course.
You can absolutely get the antenna on Amazon. My 2 cents would be to get a magnetic base antenna, that way you can mount it quickly and when you decide on a permanent setup either keep that or go with something else that suits your needs better. They run about $25 give or take a couple of bucks...
