There are numerous open and flat areas around the Pinnacles to safety spot a trailer. Depends on what view you are looking for. I never really tagged a waypoint because I change it up. It’s all BLM style rustic camping so your teardrop is a big plus.
Great times with great people. It doesn’t get any better then that! Thanks for sharing your post run thoughts. It sure sounds like you are a natural trail boss!

Please don’t get confused. The trail run is not the monthly SD meeting. This thread should be for the meet up on Thursday the 26th. I just dont want the new people to think otherwise.
My first “overland” trip I can remember was up to Lindy Lake in 1955. I was 5. Our “rig” was a 1950 ford station wagon pulling a “adventure trailer” , otherwise known as a teardrop trailer my dad rented in Bishop. I guess my point is that a lot has changed, but a lot stays the same.
A good used...
Two photos from my “only in Idaho” series. I guess you can sit down, have a fast bite to eat.... then get the hell out. The other photo was baffling. Two or three huge parking spaces just to tease you?

I’m not experienced in being a trail leader. However, just last night I got on YouTube and viewed a couple of Ronny Dahl’s segments on being a trail leader. And, he does talk about communicating through out the group. Sounds like a great run!
Let me be the first to say welcome to the best overland group of people you will meet. Start by reading all the boot camp stuff and get outside and have some fun.
Awesome is how I would describe the SD meet up last night. Great to see all the families and kids having fun. Thanks son, @donuteater , for taking the time and effort to put this all together. It’s a great start and I’m sure there will be many to come. We were all having such a good time inside...
That looks cool. Trash talk a Jeep owner... never. Look up the monthly San Diego meet up on June 28th too. It’s going to feature whiskey tasting, mischief, and shenanigans!
I will most definitely be there! Del Mar Wine Co is owned and operated by a great down to earth young man with a top notch selection of whiskey and bourbon. Some brands you have to look all over SoCal to find.
I’m just glad I don’t have to work on Friday........
