I would like to apologize to the ob community for my rant and venting about a policy I have never run into. I also like to offer a personal apology to @M Rose for trying to help me out understanding the policy but my hard-headedness kept me from listening.
I was hunkered down waiting for the storm to pass over and was eating little bite and when the storm was over I was sitting there and I looked up and I saw that and I was like man I got to get a picture of it.
I've had no problems at the Carson national Forest or at the Santa Fe national Forest. And the biggest problem was the excuse that they gave me saying that that card was issued by the national Park service and not the forest service yet they will give discounts to other national Park cards just...
Yeah I understand but I had so many resources to put on the OB map that I wanted to have a picnic table set my laptop on it and get those coordinates and pictures put in maybe it's because I taught special ed for 35 years that maybe I'm a little more sensitive about it but if that's your policy...
Yeah I understand that's also cuz I ran some of the Forest roads while I was there trying to figure out what was going on with the card but I've moved on.
Just an FYI when traveling and you have an America the beautiful access card you need to check with the US Forest ranger district in the area you're going to be in to find out if they allow their vendors to discriminate against people with a disability.
Okay y'all I'm going to have to bail on you and not meet up with y'all this weekend. I got an email from the US Forest service in Washington saying that they leave it up to each ranger district to allow the vendors that run the campgrounds to determine who gets a discount and who doesn't so here...
