This is why I'm such a fan of the 4Runner. Reasonably priced multi-purpose vehicle. It does only get like 18mpg though.
The LP Adventure kit sure does make those things look sweet! Although, the Wilderness is a cool package on its own with a nice lift.
I think this is the first time I've ever heard of concern for wear and tear on a garage door. lol I genuinely don't know their lifespan of them but can say I have yet to have an issue with functioning two different doors multiple times a day. That being said, I did replace the motor on one of...
Sorry to hear of the loss but glad to hear of people stepping up to support other.
Great pictures!
In your first post you wrote, "Seems like when making reservations online, every park and RV park is full but when we get there, no one is there." That is SO true! So many of the trips we've done...
Since I live in Houston, TX, I rarely get a chance to explore. As such, our JKUR and 4Runner are our DDs.
Although I could go and get a more practical DD, driving your favorite vehicle DD is just so much more enjoyable and as @leeloo mentioned, less insurance, maintenance, and storage is key...
Looking back at the ups and downs of college, you really need a space to stress and decompress, especially with someone else in the picture. An RV could be possible but an SUV sounds horrific.
I know many people who struggled through school and although they got through it, it didn’t sound good.
I appreciate the response!
I actually created my own DIY utility trailer conversion last year but am not 100% happy with the stability at height. I'm pretty sure though it's because I've been using the tongue jack as the front support instead of additional jacks/supports. I'm planning on...
Disconnected from the pull vehicle, how stable does it feel with everyone up in the tent? Do you wish the jacks were spaced further or do they work well where they're at?
First off, Gig 'em! Second, that is an awesome truck!
When I saw the first pictures, I was thinking, please tell me he took off the black lights. lol You've done a great job giving it a new lease on life. I'm jealous you were able to get back up to the mountains. Although I work remotely now...
Even though this is a year old thread, I thought this article would relevant:
https://garagegrabber.com/winches/badlands-vs-smittybilt-winch/
I've heard great things about the Badlands but I truly try to buy as American as possible. Although I know my Warn M8000 is assembled in the US from...
I wanted to pick the brains of those in this area or have traveled through. If arriving late, where would you overnight in the Las Cruces region? I see White Sands isn't too far and there is some BLM around.
Thanks.
Nice tent! I bought a slightly smaller one as my first one where the tent doesn't cover the ladder completely. As such, my annex is only underneath the tent and the ladder is outside. It makes it close to useless in inclement weather.
