I might change my name to Werner Heisenberg, I'm barely holding on in this dimension though, I don't think I could handle anymore. Do beer and 4wd exist in the other dimensions? Not to be used together or in that order though of course.
Anyway, congrats on the name change, not going to lie, it...
The license plate light on my tire carrier was flickering. The product description on Amazon said it was waterproof, but I could see water inside the lens. So I removed the lens dried it out with my heat gun (aka mans hair drier), and it worked like a champ, so I re-installed the lens with a...
Hey @stringtwelve, when you say that the annex coupled with the buddy heater was a game changer, how did you have this set up? Heater in the annex on the ground and the old heat rises rule heated the tent above? I'm still trying to sell my wife on the rtt idea (and cost), being able to heat it...
Installed my new auxiliary fuse box. My last one was by passing the fuses and just supplying power. Kind of defeated the purpose. The last one used blade connectors, this one uses ring so I had to cut, crimp and heat shrink everything but it looks pretty clean now so I'm happy with it, and this...
I'm an USAA member, but I use Geico. Better rates for the same coverage. I've had great customer service from USAA for some of their other services though.
Not a bad idea. Its hard to tell where is going to weld well and where isn't. I honestly wished the WJ was body on frame for that project. Would have made the design and fabrication easier.
I ran all the wiring and mounted the switches for my front aux lighting. While doing so I discovered that my accessory fuse panel is junk. It has 6 terminals and all 6 are hot regardless of if there is a fuse installed in the circuit or not. Ordered a new Blue Sea marine grade panel to replace...
The only thing I would be cautious about is welding them to the sheet metal of the body/ subframe. From my tire carrier project I learned that some places you can weld on with no problem and others you just blow holes no matter what. Depends on how thick or how many layers the sheet metal is.
Like @bear, I'm an Nemo Helio fan. Warm some water on the camp stove and go for it. I'm familiar with "navy showers", get wet, turn off the water, soap up, turn on the water to rinse off and you're done. Same concept. No "Navy Shower" jokes please. I've heard them all.
