We are about a month out from the NW Overland Rally, who's going? I'm hoping to have one of the new Overland Bound Base Camp flags to fly at the rally. It'd be great to meet some fellow members.
I'd go the kit route if I were to do it again. I could've made the same modifications to the kit and saved money and hassle. I do like the look of the finished product though.
I spent more for sure. I already had the welder though, still between the added recovery points and the fog lights I went with I'm probably closer to $500.

I think I'm going to try and do the part from I-90 north this summer if I can find the time. I'd like to do all of it, but I do t think I will be able to devote more than a day at a time to it at one shot.
So far I'm going rock climbing, maybe mountain biking, maybe fly fishing, maybe a brewery crawl, and maybe getting another tattoo. I still have a few days to plan though. The real question is how much free time I'm going to have and how much money I want to burn.
Later this month I'm going to spend 10 days or so in Boise. I'll be staying in a hotel and have a renal car. I'll have a day or two to myself and a few hours after work each day to kill. Anyone have any tips on things to see or so? Places to eat, etc? I'd like at least one adventure like I hike...
