I picked up the ARB awning and the attachable ARB awning room with the “deluxe” floor. My intentions are to eliminate the RTT for a few reasons.
I haven’t removed my RTT yet because I’m using the rails from the tent to mount the awning.
as far as the awning deployment goes, it’s easy but...
So when I purchased my RTT I purposely left the mounting rails longer than the width of the tent being I didn’t know what my plans were for mounting direction or the possibility of mounting accessories off the RTT “ long rails”
Glad I did (for now) until I figure out what I want to do without...

HOLY COW MAN!! What a soup sandwich! Sucks about the engine. It’s been a while since I’ve gotten a chance to catch up on your wj stories. I’m curious as well of why the heck the valves decided to go crooked.
wondering if a rocker arm got cockeyed? I was a Jeep tech for 25 years and...
I mounted my cheap amazon lights into my headliner and rear hatch trim (light up the ground behind the Jeep when the hatch is open) and mounted the switch in the rear trim for easy access
How did you guys with awnings mount it to your factory roof rack? My ‘99 Grand Cherokee only has the factory roof rack. I bought the ARB awning mounts.
If you guys come up with better ideas I’ll return these.

These sliders are pretty beefy. I’m not a fan of screwing them into the unibody. I’ll be welding them to the “frame” when I can. I did have to drill and bolt them into the body pinch seam which is fine. I’m...
Picked these up off amazon. Definitely heavy duty built. Mount to the pinch weld and to the unibody. Bolted to the unibody “frame” for now but eventually I’ll weld them on. It’ll be nice to have the protection and just as nice to have a step to reach the RTT
Replaced all the shocks with Bistien 5100’s. WOW!!!! I have a nice ride again since the budget boost lift was installed with stock shocks.
no pictures, everyone knows what shocks look like.
Also installed a very small overhead LED light in the overhead info center to have a small amount of...
Playing with shovel mounting ideas with some old brackets I had laying around. The tent used to deploy off the back of my TJ, now that’s it’s on my WJ I turned the tent rails so it could mount on the factory roof rails and deploy to the passenger side. The tent rails are now longer than the...
With a quality sleeping bag. What are your thoughts about not rolling it up after every use? I’ve been told to “stuff” it back into the bag so the fill will not push out of the folds
