Welcome to OB from a fellow Colorado member.
I wheeled a 2006 Dodge QC 2500 for a few years as an overland rig. While it was a rough(er) ride, they are very capable. A set of tunable shocks will go a LONG ways with the on-road and off-road comfort.
Dynatrac Ball joints are awesome and rebuildable. The new TeraFlex Falcon Nexus Steering Stabilizer is about the best thing out there...but may be overkill for most people. The Old Man Emu JK Steering stabilizer will set you back under $100 and work like a champ.
Steering stabilizers do not...
If you are ever planning on going bigger than 35" tires on the jeep.... you might as well get the sport(or sahara). You will want to regear to at least 4.56 gears and the D44 housing isnt any stronger than the D30 housing. The 4:1 T-case in the Rubicon is great in the big rocks but leaves a huge...
You cant go wrong with either upper arm.... getting uppers is the most important part of the 2"+ lifts. The billet aluminum arms are a little lighter but fatigue/failure is not something the average user has anything to worry about. A lot of manufacturers have gone to aluminum arms(upper and...
We only use Switch-Pros in our builds. The compact switch panels are available in either surface mount or flush mount and standard options that other brands charge extra for make it a no-brainer for us.
They have a surface mount which just has 2 small screws on the side to attach it to a dash or console and they have a flush mount option which requires cutting a hole to recess the panel.
We build an Overland Utility Trailer modeled off of the old M416 military trailers. The tub is made on a CNC press brake to minimize welds and increase strength and rigidity. Using 12ga, powdercoated steel means this will last through a lifetime of abuse on the trail or worksite.
We have 2 more...

I have had a Warn winch on the front of my personal JKU for 4 years and havent used it for myself... yet. I have had to stop and pull out others I...
Even just a receiver hitch will add quite a bit of protection to the back of a rig but a full bumper goes a lot further. The aftermarket bumpers for the 4Runner wrap around the sides of the rig and keep a lot of sheet metal safe. They are expensive, but a whole lot cheaper than a replacement...
We use the Switch-Pros system in our builds. Its a little pricey but its VERY worth it in the long run.

I'll be out there most of the week of EJS. My contact info is on the webpage in my signature. I'm always up for a trail ride or a beer.

My son is almost 7 and we have been traveling with him since he was born. Cross country trips, off road, camping... everything. He loves travelling and camping. At the campsite I got him an Axial SCX-10 last year to rock crawl with but all he wants to do is GO FAST!!! So I kept the rc crawler...
