    Something you don't see everyday

It (not mine, but other Vehicross's) did win stage 2 and 4 of the Dakar Rally in 1998 as well as winning Australian Safari Rally in 1999. ;)

OB Talk and the web site.

When using OB Talk for iOS (which I am liking very much) I can see and clear notification. However, when I go to the website in my computer all of the new notifications are still new and don’t clear out.

    Something you don't see everyday

Thanks. Honestly I think it will only be collectible in Isuzu circles. But I am not going to go crazy with it. It’s really just about done. Just need to get the cargo area sorted, finish correcting some electrical issues with the trailer light plug, and then body work. I may add some off road...

Even stock you have a very capable rig. Part of the reason they are popular. My advice would be to get out there and build as you see you need things. It is very easy to go buy all the gearz and bolt on the stufz, but really you don’t need a lot, especially when just starting out. Grab a tent...

    Something you don't see everyday

Here it is as it sits today! Lots of updates. After 17 months of chasing wiring, leaks, and a whole host of problems, it is finally sorted. Well, until something breaks that is. But for now, everything is working, nothing is leaking, end it even has satellite radio. Here is a (mostly...

    Smallest feasible trailer?

Just as a side note, it would seem Harbor Freight is selling trailers again.

    Smallest feasible trailer?

Thank you all for the replies. Right now my "kitchen" just goes into a cheep plastic storage box. Nothing fancy at all. 2 burner propane stove, utensils, dishes, etcetera. It works, mostly. I would like to find a way to better organize stuff. Right now camp setup takes about a half-hour to...

    Smallest feasible trailer?

I have seen a lot of really cool off road trailers. Some cost thousands while other go the DIY route (which is awesome!). Some have all the goodies, even a bed, while others are little more than a camp kitchen on wheels. I realize that everyones needs/wants are different. I getting ready to...

New To Overlanding and Where to Start

Welcome to OB! I have grown up caping, hunting, fishing, hiking, and the like. I am now in the Army and I find I miss being able to go out as often as I would like. As my wife would say, “If it is important, you make time”. She is smart like that. :) The people here are amazing! Very...

    Startup/vehicle choice

I asuppose it depends on what you plan to do. I would agree that Subaru is expensive, and capable for what they are. I would not take them rock crawling by any means. I have watched people try to take them down some very tough trails, and while they made it, it wasn’t pretty. I’m surprised no...

    Roof rack or trailer?

Of course, the rack is cool place to mount lights. However, the trailer will only cost gas milage when it is attached.
