We had some mud slides and flooding around town due to the heavy rains, so I was puttering around when I found a truck that had hit the edge of a mudslide and gotten sucked into a ditch and wasn't able to get himself free.
They were planning on using a ratchet strap around the axle of it and his...
A quirk I forgot about till it reared its head this morning, when in particularly cold or wet, my front door latch becomes very temperamental. Whenever I go to shut the door, it just bounces back open!

I believe they are talking about the land rover LR2, it came later as a successor to the freelander. It's one of the "softer" Land rovers, but still mighty capable

My 95' is similar, though not quite as bad. Others can start it but it will take them about 25-30 seconds to figure out how

Do they need new wheels? I would just slap on a set of good A/T's (Cooper's, BFG's, etc) and call it good.
Their LR2 is a very capable vehicle stock, even without new wheels.

Also I want to see some poser photos from the monument!
Also that everyone here understands that the failure point off-road is often between the seat and the steering wheel!

I often run with the A/C on, and never ran into an issue despite the hot socal climate. I also haven't needed to turn it off while idling, and that's in a 22 year old truck (the a/c automatically kicks on the auxiliary fans on the radiator)

I have also seen a few people try to link two straps together using a shackle in-between... If either strap snaps or the shackle breaks then you have a mass of metal waiting to break something or someone.
As someone who works with rated shackles for my job, I am surprised how many people use...
Changed the engine oil in rover, I had waited a little longer in between changes then I would have liked, but the oil was nice and clean.
I also found water and dust stains in my air box, and managed to soak my distributor, again, while washing the engine bay (I think I need to either get a new...
