Got some material for starting the drawers for the rover as well as got some small projects done (replacing headlight lamps, installing some switches).
I also did a regular vehicle check and noticed this weird gunk on my air filter. When i tried to rub it off with my finger is felt wet and...
I think I have it sorted out. After rodding the radiator I tried a different bleeding procedure which let far more air out of the system. I'll definitely get some of that redline stuff though, after looking at it I think it will also help out alot, thanks for the tip!

Well after my most recent little trail run I managed to smash my steering stabilizer down on something, so it's time to get a new one!
The springs I had lined up to buy were sold out from under me, so it's back to searching on the suspension front as well

This looks great! I have a trip planned up to Prudhoe Bay this summer as well, leaving on July 5th, so we will be right on your tail. I would love to meet up at some point if it works out that way!

After my little trail run I noticed that my engine temp issue was still not resolved, and on the way home my steering felt very heavy, it squeaked horrendously, and the steering wheel would "stick" in one position while turning left. No fun.
Bled the cooling system, and sure enough an...
I was just up there about 4 days ago, the entire trail is open from the 154 to Refugio road, there is very little mud so it's quite easy to run. Just please respect the no-vehicle signs along some of the side routes, some people have been bending over the fence and tearing up the land

Here is the current plan regarding where we are going to be when, if anyone happens to be nearby on these dates and wants to get together just let me know!
We will be departing on the morning of July 5th, the list is of each nights planned location
Humboldt Redwoods State Park
~ 500 miles...
The details are starting to come together!
The trip has been finalized at 26 days, departing at the beginning of July and returning just before the end of the month.
The majority of the trip will be covered by myself and my S.O. with my brothers joining us in Fairbanks. The four of us will...
Figured I should update this! Since I last posted I pulled the radiator and got it cleaned and rodded, plasti-dipped my hood in order to help with glare, installed a new high pressure power steering line, and installed some flooring on my roof rack. I have some OME heavy duty springs lined up...
That would definitely be plenty of support. The SD rack has very large gap between the rails (roughly 10" X 24"gaps) so the flooring is having to do some extra work.

The SD rack is a very noisy roof rack normally (howling at anything past 60mph), but laying down the flooring has made it nearly silent! Due to it being petty well cinched down and it's rubber/plastic material it doesn't rattle at all either. The material flexes more then I was expecting while...
Installed most of the flooring for my SD roof rack. Hopefully this way Bazz has a bit of an easier time using my rig as a photo platform!

Go ahead and count me in, unless something un-expected comes up I should be available for some fun. I don't have a dedicated off-road GPS, I normally just use my phone with offline maps and built in GPS
