    Max Patch/Harmon Den WMA

I've got plans this weekend but maybe sometime in April? My schedule is supposed to clear up a little. I'd be up for a weekend just exploring!

    Max Patch/Harmon Den WMA

I'll have to get up with you this summer and go check it out! I've been wanting to get down that way for a while but haven't made time for it.

    VA Area Monthly RVA Meetup?

Go set up a Rally Point for your meet-up! It'll show up in the Meet-Ups forum and be a lot easier to find.

    Cancelled Western Virginia Roanoke Meet-up

Updated the RP. There's a few roads some of us probably know and some roads I've been wanting to check out that I think will make for a nice day out. Feel free to give me a shout with any questions.

    Cancelled Western Virginia Roanoke Meet-up

@Michael notifications still seem hit or miss here. I'm thinking up a route for March. Need to update the rally point after while. Probably not going to make it back to Roanoke after this one because of the route. Could possibly camp in this area Saturday beforehand though. Have to look but...

    Another HAM vs GMRS question

You actually need to leave about 30KHz between frequencies because of modulation so you'd want to go from 146.460 to .490 then .520 and .550. Otherwise your modulation will interfere with others on nearby frequencies.

    Friday Night HAM Radio NET

Occasionally Echolink acts like that. I had issues a few weeks ago myself with it. Maybe try either getting on or off of wi-fi.

    GMRS Radio!

Well that's what GMRS is for, the people who don't want to deal with the Ham test.

    Coleman Sickness..affliction...

These are great little units but are 80s and 90s models. I'm working on a good collection of the single mantle lanterns right now and the 286a and 242b are my most recent acquisitions. I'm looking forward to having that 1940s 242 going again! I love bringing these old lanterns back from the...

    Coleman Sickness..affliction...

Swapped leather pump cups in these three today. 2 288a and a 286a. Neat little lanterns! One of the 288s is my beater/truck lantern.

    Coleman Sickness..affliction...

You might! I have 4 stoves and 11 lanterns right now.... Sounds like you've got some nice stuff! Those rough $5 stoves are hard to beat camping. I have a 1970 Sears I gave $5 and only had to oil the pump and have been using it as is for several years now! A buddy got a 60s model 425 for $1...

    Coleman Sickness..affliction...

Got my parts from OCP today to get my neoprene pump lanterns swapped to leather and hopefully everything I need to get my 242B going!

There should be a lever that changes the wick height I think.

    Mid Atlantic Backcountry Discovery Route

The Covington section runs right by my house. In this area it's mostly fire roads. All easily passable but there are some seasonal closures too.
