I've got plans this weekend but maybe sometime in April? My schedule is supposed to clear up a little. I'd be up for a weekend just exploring!

You actually need to leave about 30KHz between frequencies because of modulation so you'd want to go from 146.460 to .490 then .520 and .550. Otherwise your modulation will interfere with others on nearby frequencies.

Occasionally Echolink acts like that. I had issues a few weeks ago myself with it. Maybe try either getting on or off of wi-fi.

Swapped leather pump cups in these three today. 2 288a and a 286a. Neat little lanterns! One of the 288s is my beater/truck lantern.

You might! I have 4 stoves and 11 lanterns right now.... Sounds like you've got some nice stuff! Those rough $5 stoves are hard to beat camping. I have a 1970 Sears I gave $5 and only had to oil the pump and have been using it as is for several years now! A buddy got a 60s model 425 for $1...

Got my parts from OCP today to get my neoprene pump lanterns swapped to leather and hopefully everything I need to get my 242B going!

There should be a lever that changes the wick height I think.

The Covington section runs right by my house. In this area it's mostly fire roads. All easily passable but there are some seasonal closures too.

Bring a spare flashlight.... haha!
