Some potentially cool news – there is a gate right on the border of SC and NC that cuts off the connection of Musterground Rd to Auger Hole Rd, going up into Gorges State Park. And, for those who where at our trip to Gorges over the summer, if you remember there was also a gate that prevented...
Awesome! I was thinking of just hitting up the Natural Bridge trail, since you can walk over to the trailhead from the campground and maybe hit a portion of Raven Rock, since it branches off of Natural Bridge.
I'm not sure but I do know the park closes at 9pm. But I believe if you know you're going to have a late check-in, you can call the ranger station to give them a heads up and they'll be able to accommodate.
We're 11 days out and it looks like we've got a great crew coming! :grinning:
So here's a few final details:
- For those camping on Friday, check-in time is at 2pm. I'm probably taking the afternoon off to get there close to check-in time, go ahead and get camp setup, have time to relax and...
Can definitely second the versatility/universality of the LoadWarrior/MegaWarrior. I've got a MegaWarrior on my Foz and I'm pleased with it. Would probably have normally gone for the LoadWarrior based on the width of my vehicle but found a MegaWarrior on Craigslist listed for $200 - offered him...
For my CB antenna, because it's on the front of the roof, I came down in the roof rail gutter, then in a gutter that runs down the side of my windshield (I can't tell from the picture if your windshield has the same), then into the engine bay, then through the electrical grommet in the firewall...
Or as Tom just mentioned, you could meet us at the campground (Keowee Toxaway) and join the convoy to the trailhead.
Either way, I'll still post a time that we'll be at the trailhead as we get closer for anyone else who is just coming out on Saturday and wants to meet at the trailhead...
Definitely. If you're wanting to just explore the trails with us on Saturday, you're more than welcome to just meet up with us Saturday morning before we hit the trail. Or if you want to do Saturday to Sunday, you can camp out just that night. I actually checked today and all the sites are now...
Better than nothing (or better than the stock plastic engine guard, which is basically nothing) but definitely not going to provide the same kind of protection as a thicker skid plate.
Their product description is pretty spot on:
With "minor road debris" being the main piece there. It will...
I can't compare them to RalliTek, since I've never owned any, but I run King springs on my 2010 Foz and they've been great. I'm also running a 2" lift though (it's the lift kit that includes the King springs from Primitive Racing), so I'm likely benefitting from the stiffer springs more than...
If you have a smartphone, you can download the EchoLink app - that's the easiest/quickest way.
When you first open the app, it'll have to verify your callsign and that it belongs to you. Once that process has completed, you're good to go. Simply find the node you want to connect to - for the...
