Ok Gents,
Another year gone...and another expo west is upon us. I'll be heading up from Tucson on Thursday if anyone is interested in caravaning.
See ya there!
I wanted my tires and wheels to match for both looks and functionality. My trailer came with a spare as does my jeep, so I'm still carrying around 2 spares. In the unlikely event I blow 3 tires, I'll still be able to get myself to civilization.
Kind of a bitter sweet story. There were a lot of "bugs" to be worked out. The solar wasn't connected...the awning brackets weren't installed properly...forgot to send the key to open it...Mostly small snags. However, they were always reachable and were doing their best to help me. It was...
I saw these guys at the expo in Flagstaff...I knew it was the one I wanted. My jeep is limited to what it can tow, so I opted for the smaller model.
I'm hoping to get it our and take all over!
Have you decided on which one you want?
Maybe we will bump into each other one day!
Cheers
Ok, after a year and a month...I received my TK47 from Overkill. They were empathetic to my wait and shipped it to me at no cost to me. There have been some minor issues and have been in contact with them to fix these problems. All in all...to put a number on it, I would say I am 84% pleased...
I was talking to the Currie guys at the expo...he told me they were coming out with springs specifically for overlanding Jeeps. A little stiffer to accommodate heavier loads. He also talked me out of a long arm suspension lift. I currently have a 4 inch pro comp lift.
